6th Form Open Evening

On behalf of the staff and governors of Pencoed Comprehensive School, we are delighted to invite you to our 6th Form Open Evening, from 4pm, on Thursday 20th October 2022. This is the first face to face 6th Form Open Evening we have had for three years, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our school community.

The evening will consist of an opportunity to meet the leadership team, and discover how we support all 6th form students to learn, grow, thrive and flourish in our school. Visits to subject areas will also take place, and you will be able to speak to staff and learners about their experiences as members of Pencoed Comprehensive School.

We are also delighted to announce that we have recently appointed a 6th form engagement officer, Mrs S Nawrocki who will be commencing her employment with us in November. Mrs Nawrocki will be based full time in the 6th form block and will be an excellent addition to the team.

Parents, carers and learners are to meet in Canteen 5 at 4pm, before visiting departments to find out about the A level courses and experiences they offer. Signage will be posted around the site to direct you to the appropriate locations, and members of our 6th Form will also be available to support.

You will alos receive an overvew of 6th Form transition events for the rest of theacademic year, which include subject ‘taster’ sessions, and meeting your Wellbeing Coaches and Progress and Wellbeing Leader.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you and responding to any queries or questions that you may have.
