Pencoed Pathways – Yr11 introduction to Post-16 education

On behalf of the staff and governors of Pencoed Comprehensive School and 6th Form Centre, we are delighted to invite you to our Pencoed Pathways event on Thursday 14th December 2023 which will run from 4.45pm to 6.30pm.

We have organised the evening to allow you to find out options available to our learners and about our Sixth Form Centre. We appreciate how important this academic year is this is for each and every one of our learners, and want to give you an opportunity to visit departmental representatives to find out more about our A Level courses, to support informed decisions. This will also help our learners successfully move from Year 11 into Year 12 next academic year.

You will also be able to hear from Mrs Davies, Progress and Wellbeing Lead, Mrs Card, Curriculum Lead for the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales, and the leadership team, to discover how we support all learners to learn, grow, thrive and flourish in our school.

Below is information on the timings and locations for the event:

  • Parents, carers and learners to meet in Canteen 5 at 4.45pm for a short presentation before moving to Block 1 to visit Post-16 option subjects, including those offered in collaboration with Bridgend College, and also our Careers Adviser.
